GymStars Gymnastics Club have just participated in the National Championships and Age Group competitions organised by the Malta Gymnastics Federation.

GymStars lived up to their billing and their athletes returned home with an impressive haul of 16 gold medals, 16 silver and 13 bronze along with 11 overall titles.

This year, GymStars obtained a series of creditable results also on the international scene and results at the nationals proved their steady progress in the sport.

This season, a good number of the developing gymnasts at GymStars participated in competitions at the UK, Belgium and Sicily as their elite members formed part of Team Malta that did so well at the Island Games in Corsica and the Luxembourg GSSE.

Last month, the club also played hosts to more than 150 athletes at their centre in Tarxien.

Among those making use of the GymStars facilities for training camps were a team from Oslo and gymnasts from the Lithuanian federation who are building up for the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in October.
