Floriana striker Igor Coronado is the BOV Player of the Month for October.
Since signing for Floriana in November last year, Brazil’s Coronado has enthralled the local football scene with his prowess in front of goal, coupled with great pace and technique.
The 21-year-old striker quickly established himself in the local football scene and was voted as the best foreign player of the Premier League during last season’s Malta FA football awards.
Last month, Coronado stole the show in Floriana’s 2-2 draw against Hibernians. On that occasion, he set up the Greens’ opener and then hit the equaliser himself to earn a valuable point against the league leaders.
In October, Coronado also netted Floriana’s winner in a 2-1 win over Mosta, taking his tally for the season to five.
Noel Abela, BOV Floriana branch manager, presented the Player of the Month award to Coronado.
