The Savina Clinic – Dental and Implantology Centre, which first opened its doors in Gozo in 1985, was recently inaugurated at the Skyparks Business Centre at Malta International Airport by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, in the presence of Tourism Minister Karmenu Vella, Parliamentary Secretary for the Elderly Franco Mercieca, BOV chairman John Cassar White, BOV CEO Charles Borg, Skyparks general manager George Mallia and MIA CEO Marcus Klinghofer.
Dr Muscat said Malta had become a centre of excellence in many disciplines, not least in medicine and dentistry, and that the new clinic would set the bar higher.
Dental and implant surgeon Joseph Xuereb highlighted the facilities on offer, including the latest implants, laser surgery, piezosurgery, cone-beam CT scans and X-ray technology, same-day porcelain crown and bridgework as well as laser tooth-whitening.
The clinic is also able to cater for people with disability, including dental units adaptable to all wheelchairs in six fully-equipped treatment rooms.
Dr Xuereb thanked business partner Kevin Galea of Suratek Ltd as well as the representatives of various local and overseas suppliers who were present for the inauguration.
