A blistering heat wave in Australia has made some people get their cameras out to show exactly how hot it's getting.

Motion graphic designer Evan Stainsby this week decided to put a piece of Lindt chocolate on the ground outside, in South Melbourne, and film it melting.

It took just under three minutes for the chocolate to go from being whole to only a puddle of chocolate goo in the 42 Celsius (107 Fahrenheit) heat.

Australia has been experiencing high temperatures for nearly a week.

The extreme heat in Melbourne caused organizers of the Australian Open Tennis Tournament to suspend matches on Thursday.
