St Edward’s College recently hosted a two-day careers fair, which gathered a number of industry professionals to address senior school students and guide them in their career paths.
Career choice is part of a student’s educational journey, which is why the school considers such an event so important. Students had the opportunity to visit a number of stands representing various industries.
The fair helped our students reflect on their options
The careers fair gave students the opportunity to learn more about important concepts such as self-knowledge, knowledge about the workplace and awareness of the cognitive process and analytic skills, which are the basis of the college’s career guidance programme.
EY Malta country managing partner Ronald Attard said: “EY is growing and at a fast rate. Employing about 200 people, we are constantly looking for bright and enthusiastic accounting students and graduates who are interested in growing with us.
“We give our 175,000 staff in 140 countries the opportunity to receive top-notch training and to work with outstanding colleagues in different countries. We are excited to play our part in developing tomorrow’s business leaders. It is therefore a pleasure for us to be part of this fair.”
St Edward’s College headmaster George Psaila said this was a developmental process since career choice was a lifelong process. “The most important aspect of the fair is that we helped our students reflect on their options and challenges ahead,” he said.
