Former Maltasong chairman Grace Borg has been made a director of Malta Enterprise. Economic Affairs Minister Chris Cardona said the appointment was made because of her “very good business acumen”, energy and enthusiasm.

Ms Borg runs her own business and served as Maltasong chairman but in 2005 said she could no longer work  with the ‘clique’ of then Culture Minister Francis Zammit Dimech.

She had publicly announced her intention to contest the general elections as a Labour candidate, but backed down  within 24 hours saying she  “never expected the level of hatred towards those ready to give their service to the country”.
