The new Oncology Centre adjoining Mater Dei Hospital will be called Sir Anthony Mamo to honour the memory of Malta’s first President on the 40th anniversary since Malta became a republic, Finance Minister Edward Scicluna said during the Budget speech.

The centre will start to be used next year.
