Freeport workers have chosen to be represented by the General Workers’ Union in a vote spread over two days.

The GWU said in a statement that it obtained 293 of the votes cast, the Union Haddiema Maghqudin 240.

In a statement, the Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin conceded defeat.

It said that while it accepted the result, it would continue to be of service to its loyal members.
