An international call for expressions of interest for the construction, redevelopment, maintenance, management and operation of the Malta Film Studios has been issued by the government.

The expression of interest will assess the willingness of a strategic partner to enter into a long-term collaboration with the government. It seeks investment in the existing water facilities as well as in the around 94,00 m2 site and the construction of one or more sound stages bringing the Malta Film Studio up to an international state-of-the-art film facility.

The Malta Film Studios have been in operation since 1964 and are still considered one of the largest film facilities in the Mediterranean.

Interested parties are to submit their interest by email on eoi@maltafilmcommission.com .

Potential bidders will sign a confidentiality agreement and pay a €2,000 fee to access the document. Deadline for the submission is December 15.
