Thousands of stories combine for one raucous night out as My First Time returns to share awkward, hilarious, sweet and silly stories of the day people from all over the world lost their virginity.
The show features tales from a 1998 website where individuals could anonymously tell their own true stories about their first times. Over 40,000 people contributed in all. My First Time has been called ‘hilarious’ by The New York Times and ‘provocative, amusing and moving’ by the New York Post – and it now promises to be one of the highlights of Malta’s new theatre season.
Locally, My First Time wowed audiences in 2009 and sold out every single show at the MITP.
The new production features four actors in hysterical and heartbreaking stories about first sexual experiences. Never-shared-before local stories are also included.
This 90-minute play opens on Friday starring Jo Caruana, Thomas Camilleri, Joe Azzopardi and Naomi Said. It is being directed by Marc Cabourdin and Wesley Ellul.
• Performances are being held at City Theatre, Valletta, on Friday, Saturday and October 30, 31 and November 1. Shows begin at 8pm.
