An Air Malta flight to Manchester was forced to divert to Paris this afternoon after a passenger fell ill, the airline confirmed.

A spokesman confirmed that flight KM146 was forced to land at Orly airport after a male foreign passenger passed out midway through the flight. An ambulance rushed the passenger to hospital.

The flight was expected to land in Manchester at 6.20pm. It is expected to resume its route to Manchester shortly.
