A man armed with a "metal object" held up a store in Msida this afternoon, police said.

The man ordered a 54-year-Siġġiewi man behind the counter to hand over cash before making a quick getaway.

Police were called to tthe scene on Triq l-Isqof Caruana at around 2.30pm, they said.

Nobody was hurt. Police investigations are ongoing.
