HSBC Malta employees raised funds for the Pink October and Movember campaigns.

In addition to the bank’s commitment to supporting cancer research, the Pink October and Movember events were run by staff members, often to overwhelming support.

The monies for Pink October were raised via the sale of pink ties and scarfs as well as ice cream, while the funds for Movember were collected through the sale of pins. Funds will go to Europa Donna Malta and Action for Breast Cancer Foundation.

On November 29, a talk was held for staff members, in which two doctors and two cancer survivors participated. Earlier in September, the HSBC Malta Foundation donated more than €84,000 to the University of Malta for continuing research in the areas of breast, ovarian and neuroblastoma cancers.
