The Science in the City team at the Malta Chamber of Scientists is organising another series of Kids Dig Science shows for children aged six and above at St James Cavalier. The first show in the series, taking place on Saturday, will tackle fluorescence.

The shows are a combination of interactive theatre and hands-on science experiments, games and crafts that allow children to tap into their desire to explore and discover.

It teaches them to problem-solve in the most creative of ways. This team will introduce the children with scientists to find out the latest in all that is science and then cut it down to size for the children.

This year the team plans to investigate maths and how it is used in everyday life; how the atmosphere protects life on earth from destruction; the wonders of biodiversity; and fun facts on electricity, among others.

The first show is taking place on Saturday at 3pm in Studio A, St James Cavalier, Valletta. Other shows in the series, also at 3pm, will take place as follows: January 27: biodiversity; March 10: electricity; March 24: tectonics; April 28: acids and bases. For tickets, visit www.kreattivita.org.
