The Prime Minister has appointed Frank Bezzina to serve as non-executive director of the Central Bank of Malta as from January 1, 2018, for a period of five years.

Prof. Bezzina is the dean of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy (FEMA) and head of the Department of Management at the University of Malta.

He also holds visiting professor positions at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb, Croatia and the Wroclaw University.

He replaces Victor Busuttil, who had served on the board for two terms.
