A passenger on an Air Malta flight to Amsterdam had to be restrained today after he attempted to open the aircraft’s emergency exit.

The airline said in a statement that the crew, of flight KM394, restrained the passenger and the captain requested police assistance upon arrival at Schipol airport.

Another passenger on board described the incident as scary. He said some men managed to pin the passenger down after which he was bound to a seat at the back and was guarded till the plane landed.
