An original, multidisciplinary piece of theatre is celebrating the story of women through time by means of sound manipulation and electro-acoustic music, performed live by the New Victorians.

Mara stars an all-female cast including: Tina Rizzo, Michela Farrugia, Stephanie Bonnici, Sandie von Brockdorff, Becky Brincat, Julienne Restall, Kay Lee Micallef and Ilenia Gatt.

From inventors and scientists, to artists and activists, from musicians and politicians, to writers, to fighters, to mothers, Mara highlights the fact that every story is worth telling and that no voice should be silenced.

The piece is directed by the New Victorians.

After the local performance, being held as part of V18, the show will be staged at National Theatre of Scotland’s Exchange Festival.

Mara is being performed today, tomorrow and on Sunday at 8pm, at the Valletta Campus Theatre. A few tickets are left for Sunday’s performance. For tickets, visit www.thenewvictorians music.com/tickets.
