A man was arrested on Sunday after jumping the gate into Safi Barracks, which are used by the Armed Forces of Malta.

The police said the man, a foreigner, was in possession of a weapon.

An ambulance was called on site but it does not seem that anyone was injured.

No other information was available at the time of writing.
