Transport Malta enforcement officers got into the Christmas spirit by handing out mince pies and other gifts instead of fines when they stopped drivers at a road block on the Regional Road.

It was all part of a campaign for better road manners, though drivers did get a bit of a fright, followed by surprise, on being stopped.
