A man escaped with cash on Thursday evening following an armed robbery from a shop in Msida.

The hold-up took place in Dock Street at around 9.40pm.

The thief, who was hooded and armed with a knife, entered the shop and demanded money from the person who was manning the shop, a 33-year-old woman from Bosnia.

The police are investigating.
