Prime Minister Joseph Muscat on Thursday visited Alf Mizzi & Sons' investment in Sibiu, Romania, before embarking on his commitments at the informal European Summit on the EU’s strategic plan.

Zacaria, Alf Mizzi & Sons company in Romania, will be further extending its operations in the country. CEO Jonathan Diamantino said it already had 10 industrial zones in six Romanian towns.

Zacaria also had investments in the property sector and is planning to partner with a large international developer to construct up to 500,000 square metres of further industrial space.

Dr Muscat pointed out that the company had a staff retention rate of 98 per cent, which indicated that it was a strong company.
