A 23-year-old worker was grievously injured when he fell from a height of two storeys at a construction site in Sacred Heart Avenue, St Julian's, on Thursday.

The accident happened at 10.55am.

He was assisted by members of the Civil Protection Department and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Another was slightly injured.

The police are investigating.
