BONELLO. On May 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, MOIRA, of Siġġiewi, aged 41, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Ian, her children Liam and Lara, her parents Emanuel and Mary Attard, parents-in-law George and Marie-Louise Bonello, her brothers and sister, Godwin, Lino and Marcelle, brother and sister-in-law Kenneth and Moira their family’s nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 12.45pm for St Nicholas parish church, Siġġiewi, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

BORG – EMANUEL (Leli). Passed in peace on May 5, 2014. Precious, devoted husband and best friend of Regina. Loving father of Miriam Christine (Tartarella). Absolutely smitten and proud grandfather of Rio (nannu). Leli will remain in the heart and mind of his loving family, and will be forever remembered by family and friends as a perfect husband, loving father and grandfather, gardener and farmer. A quiet man who lived a simple life but had the greatest heart. The funeral leaves Gozo General Hospital today at 4.15pm for Maria Bambina parish church, Xagħra, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 5pm, followed by inter-ment at Xagħra cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Moviment Missjunarju Ġesù fil-Proxxmu, Gozo, will be greatly appreciated. May the Lord grant him eternal rest.

MANICARO. On May 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMELA of Fgura, aged 71, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband John, her sons Fr Jesmond Manicaro and Leonard and his wife Anita, her beloved granddaughter Noela, her mother Jessie, her brothers, her in-laws, their respective spouses, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.15am for the Resurrection Cemetery chapel (Tal-Erwieħ), Tarxien, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MICALLEF. On April 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, GEORGE of Attard, passed away surrounded by his loved ones, at the age of 65. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Monica, née Cremona, his daughters Esmeralda and her husband Vincenzo, Emmanuela and her husband Kenneth, Sara, Sabrina and her fiancé Nicholas and Francine and her boyfriend Jonathan, his beloved granddaughter Eleonora, his siblings, mother-in-law, sisters and brothers-in-law, his nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. Lecture on Strait Street

A public lecture on Strait Street, Valletta will be held on May 14 at 7.30pm at the Corinthia Palace Hotel, Attard.

Organised by Flimkien Għal Ambjent Aħjar, it will be addressed by George Cini, the author of the book on Strada Stretta.
