CACHIA CARUANA. On March 9, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARION, aged 87, widow of Maurice Pace and most beloved mother, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. Now reunited with her daughter Carol, she leaves to mourn her loss her children Helen wife of Paul Grima, Anna wife of Norman Mifsud, Margaret and Tony Abbott, Christian, his wife Antonia Gandini and Myriam, her beloved grandchildren Nikki, Michael, Sarah, Oliver, Ruth, Maurizio, Alessandro, Mark, Kate and her great-grandson John, her in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday March 12, at 9am for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where a Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. CAMILLERI. On March 9, at Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, VALERIE residing in Lija, aged 63, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her brother Ray and his wife Odette, her sister Pamela, her nieces Petra and Tristan, Justine and Jan, nephew Karl and her beloved great niece Sophie, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow for Lija parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.15pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Oncology Ward 1 for their care and dedication during her illness.

CASSAR. On March 8, at Id-Dar tal-Kleru, Birkirkara, Fr MAURICE CASSAR ofm Cap, aged 78, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss the Franciscan Capuchin Friars, his brothers Twanny, Emanuel and his wife Bernardette, his sisters Sr Beatrice, Doris, Rita, Tessie and her husband Peter, his nephews, amongst whom Fr Joe Giuliano and nieces. Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow at the Capuchin Holy Trinity parish church, Marsa at 9am followed by interment at the Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

DYSON. On March 5, in Melbourne, Australia, MARIKA, née Barbaro Sant, passed away peacefully, a few months short of her 70th birthday. She is deeply mourned by her husband John, her children Andrea and Monique and their families, her brother Tony and his children Fiona and her husband Thomas Lee, and Patrick, her numerous cousins, relatives and friends in Malta, UK and Australia, and her childhood friend Louise and her husband Norman Farrugia. A Mass for the repose of her soul will be said at Tal-Ibraġ parish church, on Wednesday March 16, at 5pm. The attendance of relatives and friends will be appreciated. Donations in Marika’s memory may be made to the Hospice Malta, Balzan. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

PIROTTA. On March 9, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, aged 79, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Rose (née Jelley), his brothers Lino and his wife Rose of US, Lolly and his wife Mary, his sister Lily Galea Pirotta widow of Carmel, Michael Sultana widower of his sister Mary, Carmen widow of his brother Victor, his sister-in-law Sylvia Galea and her husband Joseph and their families, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Friday March 11, at 8.15am for Naxxar parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.45am, followed by interment at the Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Poor Clares of St Julians, will be appreciated. The family regrets they are unable to receive visitors.

PSAILA. On March 10, MARIA STELLA, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital, aged 90, comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved niece Christine Sullivan wife of David, their daughters Nicola, Stephanie, Rebecca and their spouses, her great-grandnieces and grandnephews Michelle, Timmy, Daniel, Nick, Max and Sophie and all her other nieces and nephews in Malta and the U.K. Also, her cousin Yvonne Debono and her carer Jean. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.30pm for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be appreciated.
