Sixteen Gozitan dancers from The Turning Pointe Dance Theatre of Nadur recently competed with six dance choreographies at the International Festival of Dance and Performing Arts Championships in Disneyland, Paris. The dancers placed third in three dance categories - Dance Championships Senior Duo Open Dance, Dance Championships Senior Group Jazz and All Age Group Dance Magic.

The championships were open to all dance schools, dance groups, performing arts schools, musical theatre schools, duo and solo performers, singers and musical groups.

The Gozitan dancers also gave a spectacular performance in the final night and were chosen to take part in the Disney Pre-Parade following auditions for all participating dance groups.

The group was led by principal and dance teacher at The Turning Pointe Dance Theatre, Sarah Clare Saliba and teacher Daphne Attard.
