Former Napoli and Inter midfielder Arturo Di Napoli has taken over as coach of Division One club Vittoriosa Stars. For many years, Di Napoli was a household name in the Italian Serie A championship. The 40-year-old, who moved into coaching following his retirement from football in 2012, has accepted the offer to lead the Stars after losing his job at Lega Pro club Savona last month. Di Napoli, who replaces Brian Spiteri, is expected to take charge of his first match as Vittoriosa coach on Saturday when the Cottonera outfit meet Fgura United. Promotion hopefuls Vittoriosa are one point behind leaders Gudja United in the Division One standings. Picture shows Di Napoli (left) with Erskine Vella, the president of Vittoriosa Stars FC.
