On March 4, at 12.44, I posted a parcel for the Philippines at St Paul’s Bay post office. It contained gifts for a niece in the Philippines who turns eight on March 20. Do you know where this parcel is now? Believe it or not: Maltapost managed to bring it from St Paul’s Bay to Qormi. They are as fast as a snail.
And they charged me €32.02 for the parcel. If I send the same parcel from Germany to the Philippines it would cost me €15.89. It is nearly the same distance from both countries.
As I was not satisfied with the Maltapost ‘service’ I tried to get in contact with their customer care. They were obviously not interested in speaking with me. My first call started at 12:17. After hearing nice music for 15 minutes and 11 seconds I stopped the call, because no one wanted to answer. At 12: 34 I made a second attempt. After four minutes and 19 seconds of music but no answer, I gave up.
At 14:50 I tried the third time to reach the customer care of Maltapost, without any success. I gave up after a minute and 25 seconds. I started the last attempt at 14:53. After two minutes and 44 seconds I gave up.
This is the service being provided by Maltapost.
