V. J. Salomone Marketing Ltd launched FoodSaver, a vacuum sealing system and alternative to traditional food storage methods, at the Civil Service Sports Club in Valletta.

The innovative system enables food to remain fresh up to five times longer while retaining freshness and flavour for up to three years.

V. J. Salomone Marketing showcased other reputable brands within the Jarden Consumer Products portfolio namely Breville, Oster and Crock-Pot.

Environment Minister Leo Brincat opened the event, followed by V. J. Salomone Marketing Ltd’s executive director Victor Galea.

Galea highlighted the benefits of this food-saving system, then referred to Minister Brincat’s intention to set up a working group with the aim of making practical recom-mendations to reduce food waste.

“As well as providing households with an efficient way to preserve food, the FoodSaver system offers an effective solution to help reduce food waste, saving money for households and reducing waste which ultimately goes to landfills,” said Galea.

Chef patron Michael Cauchi then led product demonstrations from his kitchen, highlighting the efficiency of the products.
