PageProud is a new Maltese low-cost service that allows internet users, small businesses and organisations to set up their own simple, branded web page in minutes.
Based online at www.pageproud.com, it allows anyone to create and maintain their own single page website. Businesses can create their page to include a number of essential features such as a logo, a list of services, opening hours, contact details and a photo gallery as well as many other features. The creator can then choose to use one of the available stunning templates or customise the colours and background to suit their own business.
“The idea was to create an easy way to help small and micro businesses to get online, quickly,” said PageProud co-founder Chris Cutugno. “More people are using Google and internet to find a service or product they are looking for and small businesses are missing out on potential customers because they are not yet online.”
“We wanted to make creating a website as easy as using Facebook,” added Bjorn Azzopardi, a co-founder of the service. “The feedback and outcome we’ve had so far from people who have used it has been great. We’re quite excited about the future of our product. We’re already planning additional features.”
The features offered by PageProud are flexible, allowing it to be used for any business, from beauty salons and hairdressers to restaurants and cafes. Mechanics, carpenters, small shops, artists, clinics, repairmen can all create their own customised website using only the features they require.
