The Mdina Cathedral is hosting an exhibition of life drawings by Maltese artist Giuseppe Galea.
Galea is considered one of Malta’s finest decorators. He studied life drawing in Rome between 1933 and 1938 under the tutelage of Maltese sculptor Antonio Sciortino, and the drawings being exhibited are specifically from this period.
Giuseppe Galea, The Academic Years, Rome 1933-1938 is open at the Mdina Cathedral until October 31 from 9.30am to 5pm. It forms part of the Mdina Cathedral APS Contemporary Art Biennale 2017. To find out more about the biennale, visit www.mdinabiennale.com/artists.
