An ice-skating rink will be open between Saturday and March 2 at Bay Street Complex in St George’s Bay.
The ice rink will be open every day from 10am to 10pm until January 5 and then every weekend between January 10 and March 2.
Located on Level 0 in the main arena, the circular ice rink can take 30 children or 20 adults at one time. Skating sessions, which are being offered for €5, include the hire of ice-skating shoes, as well as a special family ticket offer. Schools and community organisations can arrange a private hire booking.
To ensure that customers of all ages and abilities can skate and have fun, Bay Street will have a range of aids, from toddler ice shoes to help little ones find their balance on the skating surface, to penguin walkers as a learning aid.
For visitors with reduced mobility, a special support frame will be available, as well as dedicated sessions for wheelchair users.
Ice-skating lessons will be on offer by the Parent and Toddler Penguin Club. A Rock the Rink Ice Disco will be held on weekend evenings, as well as organised events to enable one and all to enjoy the true atmosphere of ice-skating.
Free parking for an hour is being offered to all those who make use of the ice-skating rink, which is sponsored by Dacia, Swarovski and Stivaletti.
