Mgr Joseph Curmi was installed as Archpriest of St George’s parish, Victoria, last Sunday. The ceremony started with Mgr Curmi being accompanied from Republic Street to St George’s Square by a  cortège in which La Stella Band and Victoria Scout Group also participated. On arrival in St George’s Square, Mgr Curmi was welcomed by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech, the collegiate chapter and clergy. This was followed by a Pontifical High Mass at St George’s Basilica, during which the ‘rite of possession’ was performed.
