The Malta Chamber for Small and Medium Enterprises – GRTU offers its condolences to the family of the late former minister Michael Refalo.

A perfectionist in his work, he has served in various sectors, particularly in tourism.

The president of the GRTU’s tourism, hospitality and leisure division, Philip Fenech lauds his constructive and visionary approach, which, coupled with his integrity, contributed to build and nourish the tourism sector under his tenure.

The GRTU has worked closely with him during his time as minister and cannot but describe his approach as meticulous, yet open to ideas. His intellectuality, married with his witty humour, were a perfect recipe for effectively bridging stakeholders to drive policy forward.

His memory is celebrated as having brought honour to the political class.
