Mosta will be without Yannick Ossok for their U*Bet FA Trophy quarter-final after the Cameroonian defender was handed a two-match suspension yesterday.

Ossok was shown the red card for an off-the-ball incident in Mosta’s come-from-behind 3-1 victory over Gozitan team Xewkija Tigers last weekend.

The suspension rules Ossok out of the FA Trophy quarter-finals, the draw of which will be made today week, and the semi-finals.

If Mosta fail to advance, Ossok will serve the second of his two-match ban in the Blues’ first league match after the quarter-finals.

The same applies to Mosta coach Steve D’Amato who was given a two-match ban after being ordered off the bench on Sunday.

Sliema Wanderers’ left-back Steve Bezzina, Joseph Zerafa, of Birkirkara, and Marsaxlokk’s Patrick Borg were suspended for one match after all three were dismissed in their teams’ FA Trophy ties last weekend.

As Sliema Wanderers, Birkirkara and Marsaxlokk are out of the KO competition, Bezzina, Zerafa and Borg will have to miss their teams’ Premier League matches against Val-letta, Floriana and Balzan Youths respectively this weekend.

Meanwhile, Lija Athletic will be without Gilbert Camilleri for their clash against fellow Division One strugglers St Patrick after the midfielder saw red in their FA Trophy defeat to St George’s.
