The stone cross found in Nadur’s main square is 300 years old. The cross, known as Is-Salib tad-Dejma, dates back to 1718. It was restored by the Nadur local council, with funds from the scheme for the restoration of niches and other small historical places, in 2011. To mark the anniversary a moment of prayer will be held on Friday at 5.45pm, including a Via Crucis. Families are invited to participate in this prayer which will end with the lighting of a candle near the cross.
