The pupils sowed seeds, played forest trail and tree benefit awareness games, took part in animal awareness role plays, identified trees and indigenous fauna, sang songs and listened to stories. The sessions were tailor-made to enable the pupils maximise on this outdoor learning experience.

The event was organised for the fourth consecutive year by the Department of Curriculum Management in collaboration with Nature Trust – Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) Malta, through its Leaf (Learning about Forests) Malta programme, and the Xrobb l-Għaġin Education Programme. The National Literacy Agency also supported the event.
