Some time ago The Times published an article about the proposed new Malta Police Training Academy. Some friends and I were wondering as to its precise location.

As ex-members of the RAF, we served at RAF Siġġiewi and are looking for information and/or photographs of the station in an endeavour to trace its history.

If the new Academy is going to replace what exists at the old RAF Siġġiewi site, this task becomes even more important as there is currently little or nothing to commemorate the sterling service provided by both Maltese, civilians and RAF Malta, and RAF UK members who worked there.

A new website will shortly be launched with memories of RAF Siġġiewi but currently www.sheba-imports.com/RAF_Siggiewi_Malta.html covers a little of the station’s history.

My address is: Flat 8, Sovereign Court, Totteridge Avenue, High Wycombe, HP13 6XL, UK.
