Silence, Sounds and Spaces is the name of both the next event and a CD album from top Maltese artist Renzo Spiteri.
An engaging music creation inspired by archaeological sites spread across Malta, it is intended to draw the listener into the artist’s personal musical universe via his extraordinary knack for creating original sounds, conjuring powerful images of these stunning historic sites where time seems to stand still.
This project is the follow-up to the musical score Spiteri wrote in 2007 for the visitors’ audio guide of the Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum, a Unesco World Heritage site. The release of the Silence, Sounds and Spaces album will be accompanied by two live performances by Spiteri on November 11 and 12 at 8 p.m. at the Theatre in the Round at St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity, Valletta.
Tickets for the performances cost €12, including a copy of the album, and are available from St James Cavalier, Tel 2122 3200.
