Thirty long years of research by historian Yosanne Vella culminated in her most recent publication, Women in 18th Century Malta, launched at the recent Malta Book Festival.

The book deals with the role of women in Malta from the social, economic and religious perspectives 300 years ago and is illustrated with images of paintings from public and private collections in Malta, Paris and St Petersburg.
