Luxol trounced Msida St Joseph 11-1 to maintain their perfect record in the Gatorade Futsal League.

The team from St Andrew’s enjoyed territorial supremacy for most of the 40 minutes.

Their excellent performance was sealed with a Florin Anton hat-trick, doubles from Glenn Bonello, Celino Alves and Mark Zammit and two more goals scored by William Barbosa and Karl Azzopardi.

Msida’s consolation was scored by Clayton Farrugia.

Swieqi United improved their title chances with back-to-back wins over Mdina (12-1) and Msida (6-2).

Against Mdina, Kenneth Fiteni’s team were in a class of their own as Boicho Marev, Gabor Balan and Christian Wismayer each hit a treble.

Omar Toutoungi, Timothy Gingell and Christian Hurtado Sanchez were also on the mark.

Four days later, Swieqi saw off Msida St Joseph to go third.

Marev scored two and Diego Gomes de Mello also hit a double as Toutoungi and Balan chipped in with two other goals to steer Swieqi through against the Saints.

In another match, Aleksandar Ribic capped a stunning performance with four goals as he helped Sliema Wanderers to a 5-3 victory over Mqabba.

Meanwhile, Żebbuġ Rangers registered their second win in a row after edging Qrendi 9-8 .

Anton Novoa Perez scored four of Rangers’ goals and newcomer Radnor Farrugia made his presence felt with two goals.
