Two Vatican dignitaries – Archbishop Guido Pozzo, Almoner of the Office of Papal Charities and Bishop Giuseppe Sciacca, Secretary of the Governatorate of Vatican City, last week visited Ta’ Pinu basilica.

They were taken around the sanctuary by the rector, Fr Gerard Buhagiar, who gave them a book about the history of the sanctuary entitled A Temple to Our Lady: Ta’ Pinu Basilica.

Later in the day the bishops also met Gozo Bishop Mario Grech at Dar Manresa in Victoria and visited the Cathedral, Xewkija church and St George’s Basilica.

They were accompanied by Fr Jesmond Manicaro, secretary to Auxiliary Bishop Charles Scicluna.
