Henry Fenech Azzopardi writes:

Stella Maris church, in Sliema, was packed with people recently paying their last respects to Ċensu Rizzo, as he was known among friends and fellow businessmen.

He may have been laid to rest but his legacies will live forever.

I have known him ever since I had been asked to set up MAL Travel Ltd. We occupied the sales office on the ground floor while he worked in an office on the fourth floor in Airways House, Sliema.

Ten years later I was asked to resign and decided to open my own travel company. It was not easy having a family with two small children. However, he made sure he would see me through, supporting me by pledging all Rizzo travel business would go through my new company.

His brother, Noel, encouraged me to go ahead with my plans and, today, it is thanks to him and his brother that I have something to pass on to my son.

His legacy will live on and on. To his wife, Rosa, his children and all the family my deepest sympathy.
