A skip displaying "No 53 Tel. 2169-7766", has been dumped just a few metres from my residence in Dwejra for over a month. It is full of refuse which is an attraction for rats and construction works finished some time ago.

This area is supposed to be a historical heritage site and a tourist attraction, not a refuse dump. This skip has been reported to Rabat council but nothing has been done.

Adjacent to the skip is an attractive flowerbed which we had installed under the Rabat council's instructions to mark Queen Victoria's centenary.

Quite recently we reported this skip to the Rabat police who came to Dwejra and said they would have it removed. Unfortunately it is still there. This is Malta.
