Parliamentary Secretary Deborah Schembri and Nationalist MP Chris Said argued fiercely on the local implications of the Panama Papers during the latest edition of TimesTalk.

Companies and individuals in Malta were included in the Panama Papers list of rich and powerful from 21 countries hiding their wealth.

The list is not public yet but Health and Energy Minister Konrad Mizzi's Panamanian company was among those named among some 130 politicians and public officials around the world who have hidden financial dealings.

Dr Mizzi insisted that the leaks showed that his version of events, including disclosure, were truthful.
