Who said that fine dining and Maltese cuisine don’t go together?
Ta’ Marija restaurant in Constitution Street, Mosta, has its own secret recipes promising to tantalise taste buds.
The Froġa tat-Tarja u Ġbejna Moqlija – crispy spaghetti timbale with a saffron sauce and crunchy goat’s cheese with a cranberry sauce – is one fine example. Tradition is very important at Ta’ Marija and this is clearly reflected in its menu, with exquisite dishes such as Ravjul tad-Dar (ravioli), Stuffat tal-Fenek (rabbit) and its own version of Sfineġ ta’ l-Inċova, Pulpetti tal-Bakkaljaw u Frittura tal-Makku – a platter with anchovy puffs, cod balls and whitebait fritters, which simply melt in your mouth.
More exquisite dishes are served for lunch and dinner from Monday to Sunday.
