CALLEJA. On August 10, at Mater Dei Hospital, RITA, née Agius, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, after a long illness borne bravely. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband George, her son Alan and his wife Marika, her daughter Cynthia and her husband Paul, her grandchildren Nicole, Alessia and Beppe, her husband’s and her brothers and sisters, together with their spouses and children, other relatives and friends. A funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, August 16, at 9am, at St Mary’s parish church, Attard. Instead of flowers, donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GOODWINS. On February 20, in Paisely, Scotland, ROSANNE, née Gatt, aged 59, passed away peacefully. She leaves to mourn her sad loss her son Richard, her partner Liam Millar, her parents Dr Maurice and Nellie Gatt, her sister Nadine and her husband Frederick Grech, her brother Dr David Gatt and his wife Christine, her nephews Andrew, Thomas and Allan, many other relatives and friends. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Holy Family parish church, Iklin, on Saturday, August 18, at 9.30am, followed by interment of her ashes in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

JAMES. On August 14, in Lymington, Hampshire, MONIQUE, née Borda, aged 83. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Stephen, her sons Dominic Whittome, his wife Catherine and daughter Cecilia, Christopher Whittome, his wife Portia and son Kieran, her brother Frank Borda and his wife Pauline, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements to be announced later.

MICALLEF. On August 13, at St Vincent de Paul residence, THERESA, aged 99, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Vincent and his wife Mona, her daughter Frida and Charles Tabone, widower of her daughter Mary, besides grandchildren, relatives and friends.
The funeral cortège leaves St Vincent de Paul residence tomorrow, Wednesday, August 15, at 3.30pm for St Lawrence parish church, Vittoriosa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 4pm, followed by interment at St Lawrence Cemetery, Vittoriosa. No flowers by request but donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

NAUDI MANCHE. On August 14, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOHN, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Connie, his son Arthur, his daughters Angele and Simone together with their respective spouses and partner, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his sister Lucy, nephews, nieces and friends. A funeral Mass will take place on Friday, August 17, at 9.30am, at Stella Maris parish church, Sliema. Donations to the Ursuline Crèche, Sliema, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

PEEL. On August 13, JOHN LEONARD, went to meet the Risen Lord, at the age of 79. Loved and remembered by his beloved wife Antoinette, his son John and his wife Angela, his daughter Christine, his grandchildren Stephanie Anne and John Mark, his sisters and their families, relatives and friends, especially his friends in the RAFA and the Royal British Legion. Funeral Mass præsente cadavere will be held on Thursday, August 16, at 9am at St Cajetan parish church, Ħamrun. No flowers by request but donations in his name to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

ZAMMIT. On August 11, ERMINIA, widow of Carmelo, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her beloved children Sylvana and her husband Sandro Galea, Catherine and her husband Tony Alamango, Marlena and her husband Johnny Bongalais, Noel and his wife Sandra, Joan and her husband Charlie, her grandchildren, Nicholas, Mark, Matthew, Mariana, Maria, Daniel, Noeleen and Fabian, great-grandchildren, her sister Jane, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Tuesday, August 14, at 1.15pm for St Joseph the Worker parish church, Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. AZZOPARDI – MARY. In loving memory of our dear mother, today the 21st anniversary of her demise. Fondly loved and cherished by her sons and daughters – Alex, Edward, Jennifer, Catherine and their families.

CALLEJA. In loving memory of CHARLES, on the third anniversary of his meeting with the Lord. Never forgotten by his devoted wife Thérèse, his dearly loved children Sharon, Roger and Brian, their spouses and his adored grandchildren.

GATT – WALTER. Beautiful memory of a dear and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Fondly remembered by his wife Annie, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, on the second anniversary of his demise at the vulnerable age of 100 years. God, grant him eternal rest.

MICALLEF – EMMA MARIA. Treasured memories of a caring and devoted mother and nanna on the 16th anniversary of her being recalled to Our Lord. So lovingly remembered by Mark Anthony, Rachelle and Martin, Emma, James and John. Forever in our hearts and prayers.

MILLER – LINA. A dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Always in our thoughts and prayers, especially today, on the 10th anniversary of her death. Ray and Simone, Gerald, Sarah, Kate and Magnus, Alex, Anna, Max and Mia. May she rest in peace.

MOMPALAO de PIRO – JOE and JULIA. Celebrating their life together, reunited on August 14, 2001. Their children Susan, Aidan and Julian and their families.

XERRI – Sr ELISE (Anna), MC. On the 20th anniversary.
