BUHAGIAR. On August 14, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARY, widow of Louis, aged 70, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Joanne and her former husband Vince and Brandon and his wife Svetlana, her grandchildren Byron, Warren, Dawson, Kelsey, Louizaya and Nixon, her great-grandchildren Nathan and Jade, her siblings and in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Friday, August 17, at 4pm for St Nicholas parish church, Siġġiewi, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 4.30pm. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
GATT. On August 15, at Mater Dei Hospital, ALBERT, aged 93, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his devoted wife Lena, nèe Briffa, his children Maria and her husband Robert Sammut, Elizabeth and her husband John Depares, Gilbert and his wife Grace nèe Sciberras, his grandchildren Edward, David, Stephanie, Jacqueline, Matthew, Liza and Emma and seven great-grandchildren, his sisters-in-law Rose Vassallo and Eileen Mifsud, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, August 20, at 8.45am, for Stella Maris church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to the Salesians of Don Bosco will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest. The family wish to express their appreciation for the care Albert received at Casa San Paolo and the Medical unit at Mater Dei Hospital.
THEUMA. On August 14, at Gozo General Hospital, MARIA, aged 62, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Dr Eddie Rapa and his wife Rose, her sister Mariosa and her husband Saviour Grech, together with her nephews and nieces, their spouses and children, and other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Gozo General Hospital residence today, Friday, August 17, at 5pm, for the Gozo Cathedral, Victoria, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 5.30pm, followed by interment at Santa Marija Cemetery, Victoria. No flowers by request but dona-tions in her name to Dar l-Arka, Għajnsielem, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
