AZZOPARDI. On August 3, 2018, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIA, née Spagnol of Għaxaq, aged 74, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Charles, her daughter Doreen and her husband Joseph, her grandchild Maria-Christina, her sisters Josephine and Kate, Rose, widow of her brother Anthony, relatives and friends. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Anna, wife of Mark Vella, her son Mark and his wife Thelma, her precious grandchildren Angela, Carla, Martina, Michael, Stefan and their respective husbands and partners, her great-grandchildren, her sister Grace Aquilina, other relatives and friends. CASHA. On August 3, RICHARD, of Sliema residing in Santa Venera, aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his devoted wife Mary née Bonavia, his beloved children Stephanie and her husband Etienne, David and his partner Mariya, his grandchildren Martina and Philippa and their partners Michael and Sara, his brothers James and his wife Eileen, Tony and his wife Jane, his sisters Doris, Violet and her husband Joe and Rose, his sister-in-law Lina, his nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. He leaves to mourn his loss his loving wife Carmen, his son Etienne and his wife Lina, his son Sandro and his wife Lisa, his daughter Claudia, his son Massimo and his partner Eleonor, his grandchildren Christopher, Jade, Luke, James, Kyra and Timo, and his great-grandson Salvatore, his sister Maryrose and partner Paul, his brother Ignatius and wife May, his sister Lucienne, his many beloved in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. WHITE. On July 31, in London UK, Mgr. Leo J. White, Prefect Apostolic Emeritus of Garissa in Kenya passed peacefully away at the age of 89. He leaves to mourn his loss, Tessie widow of his late brother Thomas and their family, the family of his late sister Jessie and her late husband Anthony Cassar White, his sister Mary and her husband John Grech and their family, Rose widow of his late brother George and their family, his brother Edgar and his wife Josephine and their family and Joe Cachia widower of his late sister Agnes, other relatives and friends. Prayer meeting
A prayer meeting for the sanctification of priests and for priestly and religious vocations will be held at St Francis church, Birkirkara, on Saturday. The meeting will start with Mass at 9pm, followed by adoration of the Blessed Sacrament until 11pm. This prayer meeting is held every month in different churches.
