CALLUS. On Saturday, February 2, at St Vincent de Paul residence, CATHERINE of Pietà, widow of Joseph, aged 101, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sons Lino and his wife Antoinette and Vincent and his wife Maria, her grandchildren Ivan and his wife Anne Marie, Marie-Louise and her husband Joseph, Ingrid and her husband Paul, Kevin and his wife Lynn-Mireille, her great-grandchildren, her sisters, brothers and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday, February 6, at 9am, for Fatima Sanctuary, Guardamangia, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

CAMILLERI. On February 1, CARMEN, passed peacefully away on her 91st birthday, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She will always be loved and remembered by her daughters Dorothy and her husband Edmund Azzopardi, Adolpha and her husband Joseph Grima, her grandchildren Erika and her husband David Galea, Simone and her partner Prof. Duncan Camilleri, Joanne, Veronique, Sabrina and their families, her great-grandchildren, her brother Joseph and his wife Doris, her sister Lucy and her husband Con Desira and her brother Gordon and numerous cousins residing in Australia, Joseph Borda and his wife Betty residing in the US, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, February 5, at 1.30pm for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by private interment at St Lawrence cemetery, Vittoriosa. No flowers by request but donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated.

MUSCAT INGLOTT. On February 2, ALBERT, aged 74, of Sliema, passed away suddenly at home, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his loving wife Yvonne, his beloved children Sacha and Tara, his son-in-law Simon Mifsud, his grandchildren Alexei, Hannah, Sebastian, Rocco and Mateo, his brothers and sisters; Amalia, Adrian and his wife Janet, Arthur, Anna, Alan and his wife Catherine, his nephews and nieces and dearest friends. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 6, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9am at Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema. No flowers by request but donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.  

SALIBA. On February 3, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, Chev. PAUL, of Rabat, aged 92, legal procurator and former editor of Il-Leħen is-Sewwa, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his loving wife Miranda née Aquilina, his children Alma and her husband Dr Mario Grixti, Dr Nives Grixti, his daughter-in-law Edith, wife of his late son Dr Rudolph Saliba, his sisters Jessie and Doris, his brother-in-law Alan and his wife Corinne, his sister-in-law Aurora, his grandchildren Dr Stephanie Zarb Adami and her husband Geoffrey, Michael, Dr Lydia Grixti, William, Stephen, Angela and Louisa, his great-grandchildren Jack and Luke, numerous nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, February 5, at 8am for St Paul’s Collegiate Parish in Rabat where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be appreciated.  Lord, grant him eternal rest. The family extend their deepest thanks and appreciation to the staff at Fatima Ward, SVPR, for their care and attention.

SAUNDERS. On February 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, MAI – Mary Victoria, of Sliema, aged 97, passed peacefully away surrounded by her loved ones and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her brother Albert W. Agius and his wife Phyllis, her beloved nephew Mark Gatt and his wife Pauline, her beloved niece Anna Galea and her husband Philip, her sister-in-law Tessie Agius, other nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, February 5, at 9am for Stella Maris church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

STRUTHERS. On February 1, ARNOLD, aged 76, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Dolores, his children Sam and his wife Sharon, Amanda and her husband Ian, his grandchildren Phoebe, Jacelyn, Isabella and Max, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, February 5, at 8am, for Our Lady of Lourdes parish church, San Ġwann, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest. 

ZAHRA. On February 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, LINA, nee Muscat, aged 84, of Valletta, residing in Guardamanġia, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Alfred, her children Joseph F.X. and his wife Lucienne, Marisa, Charles and his wife Claire, Stefania and her husband Simon Vella, her grandchildren, David and his wife Sarah, Maria and her husband Clive and great-grandson Luigi, Paul and his girlfriend Julia, Michela, Mark and his girlfriend Lara and Matthew and his girlfriend Judy, her brother Frank and her sister Miriam and her husband John Borg, nephew and nieces. Funeral Mass will be held today, Monday, February 4, at 2pm at the collegiate parish church of St Paul’s Shipwreck, Valletta, followed by private interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Today’s 6pm Mass at Gżira parish church will be offered for the repose of the soul of ALFRED (Freddie) MIZZI (ex-Gasan Enterprises).

In Memoriam

ANASTASI. In loving memory of BEPPE on the ninth anniversary of his death. Fondly remembered by his wife Anne, his children Victor and Marceline, in-laws and grandchildren. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
