CALLEJA. On March 23, VICTOR (of Yorkie Clothing Industry), of Sliema, residing in San Pawl tat-Tarġa, aged 88, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Eileen, his children Joan, Ray, Marvic, Brian, Alex, Jeffrey, Mariella, Simon, Shirley and Karen, their spouses and partners, his grandchildren, great grand-children and his carer Jerome. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Monday, March 25, at 1.30pm for the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy, San Pawl tat-Tarġa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CALLEJA GERA. On March 21, at Mater Dei Hospital, LINA, née Anastasi, widow of Francis, aged 86, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Jennifer and her husband John Cassar Aveta, Angela and her husband David Pace O’Shea, Sandra and her husband Thomas Schmitt and George and his wife Enid. She also leaves to mourn her loss, her grandchildren Ann and Simi, Neil and Vanessa, Gail and Andre, Fleur and Andrea, Debbie, Hanna and Max, Julia, Nathaniel and Cristina and her great-grandchildren, Beatrice, Aurora, Francesco and Mya. Also, her siblings John, Pauline and Pio. Her sisters-in-law, Rita Bonello Ghio and Lina Calleja Gera of Canada, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said on Saturday, March 30, at 8.30am, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request, however donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at St Joseph Ward 11, St Vincent de Paul Residence for their care and dedication.

CREMONA – CARMEL, sive Lino, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, aged 74, comforted by the rites of Holy Church and close relatives. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mary Helen, sons Marco and Stefano, his brother Archbishop Emeritus Paul Cremona, his sister MarieLouise and her son Johann, his daughters-in-law Joanne and Nicolette, grandchildren Luigi, Gianluca, Lara and Sam, sisters-in-law Christine and her husband Lothar, Monica and her husband Carmel. Mass præsente cadavere will be said on Wednesday, March 27, at 10am, at the Divine Mercy Sanctuary, San Pawl tat-Tarġa, limits of Naxxar, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Caritas or Service Dogs Malta Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest. The family would like to thank the staff at the Cardiac Unit and the Intensive Therapy Unit at Mater Dei for their care, dedication and professionalism.

GAUCI. On March 20, GEORGE, of Victoria, Gozo, (ex-teacher), aged 82, passed away peacefully in the arms of his wife, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Lina, his brothers Rev. Can John and Tarcisio, his sisters Luigia and her husband Joseph, Marisa, Carmen, widow of his brother Anthony, his brothers-in-law Joseph, Maurice and Victor, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, among whom Fr Ugolin Scerri, OFM Conv., and Fr Joseph, OFM Conv., and friends, especially members of the Legion of Mary, of which he was a member since the age of 17 until his death. The funeral cortége leaves Gozo General Hospital today, Monday, March 25, at 4.30pm for St George’s Basilica, Victoria, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 5pm, followed by interment in the family grave at St Mary’s cemetery, Victoria. Donations to missions/charitable institutions of one’s choice will be greatly appreciated. Lord grant him eternal rest.

MIZZI. On March 24, RAYMOND of Msida, residing in Kappara, aged 75, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his daughter Pamela and her husband Tony with their daughters Daisy and Sophia, and his daughter Stephanie and her partner Tony, siblings Norman, Bella and Sister Dorothy, their families and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, March 26, at 7.30am, for the St Joseph parish church, Msida, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, would be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

MUNRO. On Saturday, March 23, CARMELINA, passed away peacefully at the venerable age of 97, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Therese and her husband Saviour Zammit, her son Walter and his wife Carmen, her grandchildren and great-granddaughters, family and friends. Funeral Mass will be said on Wednesday, March 27, at 8am, at St Joseph parish church, Msida. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MUSCAT. On Saturday, March 23, at 8pm, MARIA, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by all her family, leaving beautiful memories of a dear wife, and a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Benny and her children Lara and Gordon, Ben and Nadine, her adored grandchildren Jake, Kane, Kate, Mia and Sienna, her brother John and Josephine, her sisters, Edwidge and Michael, Christine and Bjorn, and Josianne, her nephews and nieces, dear relatives and close friends here in Malta and abroad, and all the loving staff at Ta’ Marija Restaurant, La Buona Trattoria Del Nonno and Palazzo Pescatore. The funeral will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, March 26, at 3pm, at Our Lady of Sorrows church, St Paul’s Bay. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Community Chest Fund will be appreciated. May God grant her eternal rest. She will be sorely missed. Special thanks to her dear nephew Brian and Debbie, and the staff, doctors and nurses of Mater Dei Hospital for their special attention and care.

PACE. On March 24, JOE, of Qormi, aged 84, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rights of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Maria, his children Aldo and his wife Yvonne, his son George and his wife Simone, his grandchildren and their spouses, other relatives and friends both in Malta and in the United States. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Monday, March 25, for St George’s parish church, Qormi, where Mass will be celebrated at 3pm followed by interment in the family grave at the Qormi cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
